Race

    Race has the high correlation with skin tone. The Disney princesses have come from all around the world. Let us take a look at the map.

   According to the map, we can deduce that Aurora and Merida hail from the UK. Merida is Scot, Scotland is in the north of England. Right there is Germany, where Snow White and Rapunzel come from. We will then travel to France, since both Belle and Cinderella are France. We can find that although those princesses are made by Disney, which is the American's company. Disney still reserves the princess's original country from fairy tale. As the result, the Disney princesses have multiple races.

   Then goes on to China, which is Mulan's country. Mention to Asia, there is new princess recently added in Disney official princess, Raya. Raya is from Mainland Southeast Asia. Then we talk about Tiana and Pocahontas, both two are from America. Pocahontas was the Indigenous peoples of Americas. We mention to Moana that she is originally from the Polynesian island of Motunui, which is Oceania. Obviously, we can draw the conclusions that there are racial and cultural diversity of the Disney princesses, because of this Disney animation, we can broaden our horizons to understand other countries' cultures.
